Romania Orders Lynx Combat Vehicles, Vessels and Air Defence Systems Worth a Total of €5.7 Billion

Rheinmetall secured a €5.7 billion contract package from Romania on 29 May 2026 for combat vehicles, air defence systems, ammunition, and naval vessels under the EU's SAFE program. This is the largest international contract package in the company's recent history.
